A story about Kobe Bryant as told by a professional trainer who worked with Bryant this past Summer, for the Olympics:
It was about 3:30am. I lay in bed slowly fading away when I hear my cell ring. It was Kobe. I nervously picked up.
Hey uhh Rob I hope I’m not disturbing anything right now.
Uh no whats up kobe?
Just wondering if you could just help me out with some conditioning work thats all.
I checked my clock, 4:15am. yea sure ill see yo in the facility in a bit. It took me about 20 minutes to get my gear and out of the hotel.
When I arrived and opened the room to the main practice floor I saw Kobe. Alone.
He was drenched in sweat as if he had just taken a swim. It wasn’t even 5am.
Growing up, they don’t tell you how many hours of studying is required to get straight A’s or when applying for a job you aren’t told the amount of successful projects you have to complete to climb up to your ideal position.
When you hear about the most successful people in the world though, whether it’s in business, sports, or entertainment there is always 1 common factor amongst them all.
Day after day after day, they put in the Work.
This morning, think about what you want to accomplish today. Think about what you want from life.
Will you do whatever it takes including sacrificing free time now so that you can reap the reward later?
I know what it’s like to feel stuck, to fail, and to have people around you doubt your capabiliies.
But, I will never know what it feels like to quit.
Today is yours for the taking, make it a day your future self will thank you for.” via @PhotoRepost_app #motivation #inspiration #qotd #instaquote #quoteoftheday #purpose #focused #fitmom #instafitness #shredz #kobe #lakerlover #lakers #goodmorning #morningmemo
